In 27 stories in this book, the reader will recognize two intertwined motifs and themes. In the first, there are mostly stories about the writer and his work, a kind of dialogue between the author and the work he creates, covered with a thin cloak of fiction, based on local folklore. In the second part, the writer simply, like an ancient sailor discovering new, hitherto unknown lands, set sail in the ship of memories of the sea of his childhood. Unusual people, unusual everyday events, memorable, sometimes swaying images, which keep from oblivion one time and personal and social events in it - all this makes the weft of these stories.
